About Coleman Law Offices
Coleman Law Offices take a unique stance on legal representation. We strive to remain in lockstep with our clients. This means that the process is collaborative and transparent. The goals of our clients, a strategy most likely to achieve those goals, and managing any impasses that arise along the way together is the fundamental approach.
We are Personal Injury Lawyers, Divorce Lawyers, and also practice an extensive amount of Probate and Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, as well as Business and Contract Law. The beauty of these practice areas is that we can often synthesize representation. For instance, we have handled a Probate, Wrongful Death Act Personal Injury Matter, and Custody Matter for one client before, because one representation flowed naturally into the next and we were able to advocate for her in all three areas simultaneously and seamlessly.
Meet our Law Office
Christie Coleman, Esq.
Christie Coleman received merit scholarships to both her undergraduate institution, the University of California, Berkeley, and to Southwestern Law School. While in law school, she served as a teaching assistant and as an editor on a law journal.
Ms. Coleman is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled both bench and jury trials. When she is not fiercely litigating on behalf of her wrongful death, trucking accident, automobile accident, and premises liability clients, she enjoys practicing probate and estate planning law. Balance is central to her practice, and integrating these more contemplative practice areas allows her the bandwidth to advocate zealously and effectively for her litigation clients.
A practicing lawyer, for nearly thirteen years, she is licensed in both California and New Mexico, with her primary practice based in beautiful downtown Santa Fe, where her office is located in the historic district. She moved to New Mexico in 2012. She proudly serves clients throughout New Mexico—from Albuquerque to Taos—and concentrates her practice in Northern New Mexico, including Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Pecos, Mora, Las Vegas, Española, and Taos Counties.
In 2024, Ms. Coleman secured a record-breaking wrongful death jury verdict of $15.4 million in Taos County. She has also resolved numerous cases for millions of dollars against insurance companies and other at-fault third parties. She is scheduled to return to jury trial in the summer of 2026, continuing her commitment to holding powerful interests accountable and taking on true David-and-Goliath cases.
She personally experienced wrongful death as a recent college graduate when her parents were senselessly killed. This experience gives her firsthand insight into the profound loss families endure and strengthens her dedication to meaningful accountability and fair compensation for those affected.
Ms. Coleman is a member of the Oliver Seth Inn of Court and the Estate Planning Council of New Mexico, and she previously served for several years on the New Mexico Rules of Professional Conduct Committee. Outside the office and courtroom, she enjoys watching her sons play basketball, fishing, cooking, and collecting Native American jewelry.
Hailee Lovato, Paralegal
Ms. Lovato is a native New Mexican who has lived in Santa Fe and Pojoaque her entire life. She has deep family roots and strong ties to both Northern New Mexico and Grants, New Mexico, where much of her extended family resides. She was raised with the traditions that make this state unique.
Ms. Lovato currently works at Coleman Law Offices while pursuing her undergraduate degree. She assists with both personal injury and estate planning matters and is considering a future career in either law or nursing, as she has a strong passion for both fields. Her favorite part of working in the office is interacting with clients and helping them feel comfortable and supported. She is a valuable asset to the firm.
Amanda Park, Paralegal
Ms. Park joined the firm in the summer of 2025. She is a graduate of Los Alamos High School and attended the University of Colorado Boulder. At the firm, she works on estate planning, probate, automobile accident, and personal injury matters. Ms. Park has prior experience working as both a certified nursing assistant and a veterinary technician and is well versed in medical record collection and review. She values the close client relationships the firm maintains, as well as the small, family-like environment that is often absent in larger organizations.

Kelly Nunez, Albuquerque, New Mexico
I came into the office. They got my information and all the info about my case. They are very knowledgeable and actually want to make sure things work out for the client besides just the case.
Eric Luchetti, Santa Fe, New Mexico
Christie Coleman dealt with my personal injury case. She was so supportive through it all and truly made the whole experience so much more bearable.
Claire Jacquez, Pojoaque, New Mexico
I have the greatest respect for Christie Coleman as a personal injury attorney. She managed a major victory with a generous financial settlement for myself as a result of an automobile accident and personal injury occurring in January of 2021. Christie and her entire staff worked as team from beginning to end making the legal process both easy to comprehend and not intimidating for a layperson like myself, which is not typical. I can recommend Christie Coleman Law Offices without hesitation if you are in need of a personal injury attorney.
